Jordan Staal is a professional hockey player who currently plays for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the younger brother of Eric Staal, who is also a professional hockey player. Jordan was born on September 10, 1988 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He was drafted second overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He is considered to be one of the best two-way forwards in the NHL and is known for his defensive play and size.
