Deloris Jordan was born on November 5th, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the youngest of five children and was raised by her single mother, who worked long hours to ensure that her children had everything they needed. Deloris was an active child and loved playing sports, but she was often told she couldn’t play because of her gender.
